Who are Carreras Lathane Associates (CLA)?
CLA saw that their industry was becoming increasingly reliant on cutting-edge technology such as cloud-based IP solutions. Without such technology, they would be left behind. They were still using an old-fashioned PBX telephone system ISDN30, which had high running costs and no value-added benefits.
They needed a complete technology partner to implement a new cost-effective and reliable solution. It was crucial that they could seamlessly communicate with suppliers and clients, so that data could be streamed to a cloud-based service. All of this needed to be incorporated into a centrally managed database.
Also, in the age of unified communications, their internal comms needed a shake-up.
Up until PureBlue came on board, all of CLA’s systems were managed in-house. We replaced their ISDN30 and PBX services with our hosted Cisco Unified Communications Manager IP telephony system – and that resulted in immediate savings.
We worked with CLA to migrate their services to a cloud-based solution, which we were able to integrate into their normal applications. Now the company has a dedicated server which, thanks to our resilient network, allowed users to work remotely and boosted productivity. A decade on, it continues to be cost-effective, reliable and scalable, with minimal maintenance or need for upgrades.
When CLA moved offices in 2008, the process was far quicker and more cost-effective than it would be for businesses without a similar system in place. In fact, the only moving day costs were for a simple circuit shift.
